Branch Manager
Gainesville, FL

Branch Manager directs the overall activities of the branch to continually and simultaneously serve the customers within the company’s target market to ensure the company’s brand name and reputation continues to flourish. Works to achieve branch performance goals, while additionally providing support, guidance, and training to staff and ensuring personnel development.

Branch Operations

  • Successfully directs all operational aspects of the branch, including operations, customer service, security, administration and sales.
  • Assesses local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities.
  • Ensures that operations personnel have the tools they need to perform their jobs satisfactorily. Personally inspect jobs to assess the progress on jobs and the game plan that operations personnel are employing to achieve the objectives.
  • Ensures that all branch personnel understand the overall company objectives as well as their individual departmental objectives and that they work together to achieve the stated objectives.
  • Completes reviews on schedule for each team member; reviews are accurate, consistent and effectively communicate employee standing within the organization.
  • Resolves conflicting objectives and reinforce continuously respectful communication between all departments.
  • Must understand and adhere to Bank’s compliance programs, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements including Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Customer Identification Program, Office of Foreign Assets Control, and Regulatory Compliance.

Customer Service

  • Continually take the pulse of clients through informal telephone conversations, lunch meetings, industry events and formal customer satisfaction surveys as well as community involvement.
  • Ensures a quick and proper response to all reasonable customer requests.

Team Leadership

  • Listens to and accepts constructive criticism.
  • Has ability to effectively delegate job duties to employees under direct supervision.
  • Communicates professionally with Bank employees and customers.
  • Displays confidence in performing job duties.
  • Performs all job duties in a professional manner.

Branch Security & Safety

  • Ensures that all branch personnel perform their job duties in a safe manner and that they take all reasonable precautions to avoid security incidents.
  • Hires only personnel that demonstrate an understanding of safe work practices and will commit to following the safety procedures of the bank.

Work Environment

This job operates in a bank branch office. It is a professional environment.

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role, requiring use of typical office equipment such as a computer, laptop and cell phone. Most work is completed in an office environment. Walking around the branch and addressing employees and supervisors is required.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with occasional work outside of normal hours when necessary.


This position requires occasional local area travel to other branches. Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree (B. A. or B. S.) from four year college or university and/or five to seven years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional Eligibility Qualifications Valid driver’s license. Personal vehicle in good operating order
